Dr. Pacheco graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and completed his residency at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Pacheco practices general rheumatology and enjoys treating patients’ conditions in all aspects of the disease spectrum. Rheumatologic illnesses present complex and challenging problems for both the patient and the physician. Dr. Pacheco finds diagnosing, treating, and managing these illnesses highly rewarding because of the impact it has on patients’ lives.


He became interested in immunology through his college coursework when the field was still in its infancy. While in medical school, Dr. Pacheco took a rotation through the rheumatology clinic and was immediately impressed by its practical application.  

After hours, Dr. Pacheco enjoys spending time with and cooking for his family. He also enjoys many outdoor activities such as gardening, walking, hiking, fishing, and hunting.
