Dr. Dean graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and completed her residency at University of Louisville Health. Dr. Dean chose to specialize in rheumatology due to having an interest  in arthritis, autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases, and a desire to improve the quality of life of patients with these disorders. She finds it gratifying to be able to see a broad age range of patients, from young adults to the elderly, both men and women, and both rare and common clinical conditions.

While she enjoys treating autoimmune disorders in particular, she enjoys general rheumatology as well. She realizes that each patient is unique, and tailors each treatment plan to the individual.

Dr. Dean has been in the private practice of rheumatology since 1995, and has been practicing in Albuquerque since 2001. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
